Here is a list of software which I use extensively:

  • Neovim: the text editor that I can’t live without.
  • tmux: access multiple separate terminal sessions inside a single terminal window.
  • iTerm2: MacOS terminal replacement which provides more features.
  • Firefox: a private and fast web browser.
  • Duckduckgo: the search engine that doesn’t track you. The search results are amazingly good, I haven’t looked back after I switched to it.
  • Protonmail: email service that supports end-to-end encryption.
  • Bitwarden: open-source password manager.
  • Pocket: collect, organize and search my favorite articles on desktop and phone.
  • UCSS: paid shadowsocks provider to bypass GFW.

Firefox web extensions:

  • Tree Style Tab: especially useful when you’re on a large screen working with a bunch of tabs open.
  • Tridactyl: replace Firefox’s control mechanism with one modelled on Vim.
  • uBlock Origin: An efficient blocker.
